The students of Piraeus University of Applied Science at EMMIS’ seminars
The strategic cooperation between EMMIS and the department of Electrical Engineers of Piraeus University of Applied Science, started off with a technical seminar entitled “Transformers and other products for electrical supply and control”, attended by postgraduate and undergraduate students of the department.
The seminar was delivered in two sessions. At the first session low voltage transformers were presented and analyzed in detail, emphasizing at their operation, use & applications, benefits and how to select the most appropriate transformer following the per case conditions.
In addition, operation, use & applications and benefits of electrical supply and control products were presented, such as voltage stabilizers, insulation monitors, temperature monitors, multimeters and network analyzers, industrial earth leakage relays, current transformers.
At the second session of the seminar the students monitored live the whole production procedure of the low voltage transformers, from raw materials up to quality control of final items, which follows all the strict international standards and is certified annually by the internationally known certificating body TÜV SÜD.
The series of EMMIS technical seminars is a part of the company’s policy to inform and educate the market, the electrical technicians and installers and the academic community.
