EMMIS MARINE at “10 years HEMEXPO” anniversary event
HEMEXPO celebrated with a glamorous event its 10 years of contribution to the Greek maritime industry, under the motto "10 Years of SEAnergies", on Tuesday 3rd of December at the emblematic site of the Skaramagas Shipyards. This event was an important milestone, not only for HEMEXPO, but also for the entire Greek maritime community, as it brought together leading personalities of the business, shipping and political sectors. Important initiatives were announced at the event, such as the €25 million fund announced by the Minister of Shipping, Mr Christos Stylianides, for the strengthen of the Greek maritime cluster and the enhancement of the competitiveness of the sector at international level.
The presence of distinguished personalities made the event even more special, such as the Minister of Shipping & Island Policy Mr Christos Stylianides, the President and the CEO of the Skaramanga Shipyards, Mr Georgios Prokopiou and Mr Miltiadis Varvitsiotis, the founder of Tsakos Group and inspirator of HEMEXPO Capt. Panagiotis Tsakos, the warm supporter Mr. Simeon Palios, representatives of the state, the armed forces, distinguish forces of shipping community and representatives of the 32 member companies of HEMEXPO, shared their views on the future of shipping, innovation and extroversion that should characterize the industry. The presentations of the distinguish guests clearly defined the strategic plan for the coming years.
